When students and community members dreamed up the idea of a Native center at PSU, they imagined a place that Native students could call a home away from home and, just as important, a place where the Native community could meet and call their own. The Native American Student & Community Center is now celebrating 20 years.

Oregon’s population is rapidly aging. With this shift comes an increasing need for access to behavioral health resources, including support for substance use disorders and serious mental illness. PSU is partnering with OHSU and the Oregon Health Authority to establish a center addressing these challenges.

Dr. Cotik’s goal is to create an AR experience where users can view a 3D violin performance right in front of them, anywhere in the world, through their phone. His prototype, Música AR 3D, is an augmented-reality, three-dimensional method of experiencing classical music, available to anyone with a smartphone.
